After spending my career in public relations, advertising, editorial at a national home and garden magazine, and as a small-business owner, I’m now retired and have time for photography. While working at the magazines a part of my job included organizing photo shoots, attending photo shoots, and writing photography directions. Now, I’m taking some things learned during those experiences and sharing my photos with you.
Photography allows me to explore areas across the Midwest and the Great Lakes-region looking for new photos and ideas. I enjoy hopping in the car and driving down back roads seeking inspiration for the latest shot. I also love the surprise of seeing how each photo turns out at the end of the day. Each photo is a gift due to its unique lighting, angle, weather, and what catches my eye.
I hope my photos capture the beauty of place—sparking a memory or bringing joyful reflection—and tell a story. That’s so important today when we’re all rushing around and perhaps feeling disconnected and ungrounded.
