Christine Schadrie

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Christine Schadrie is a self-taught visual artist working primarily in oil, with additional exploration in watercolor. Her minimalist, emotionally driven work is inspired by nature, light, and place—often drawing from the shoreline of Lake Michigan—inviting reflection and personal connection.  Through a minimalist approach, Schadrie creates space for personal interpretation, allowing each piece to evoke an emotional response.

Schadrie began drawing in early childhood and discovered a passion for art at a young age, beginning to sell her work at 18. Influenced by American painters Andrew Wyeth and Winslow Homer, and shaped by mentorship from the late Ron Stokes, her artistic approach emphasizes mood, simplicity, and emotional resonance. Her work has been featured in several juried exhibitions and is held in private collections.
