About the Instructor

Kati Kull was born in Bolivia and grew up traveling throughout Latin America, where she was immersed in the diverse artistic traditions, cultures, and landscapes of the continent. These experiences continue to inspire her work, from the sweeping plains and snow-capped peaks of the Bolivian Altiplano to the vibrant colors of Carnival celebrations and coastal landscapes.

Using silk and fine merino wool, Kati transforms her memories and imagination into distinctive pieces of wearable art. Her scarves and garments celebrate the richness and diversity of Latin American culture while encouraging personal expression through fiber art.

Kati has taught nuno felting workshops at the Kohler Art Center and in communities throughout Wisconsin, Michigan, Missouri, and beyond. Her work has been featured in the Fine Line fashion show and in the 2023 Felltin International Felted Garment Fashion Show in France. In 2025, she received the Midwest Weavers Conference award for Best Use of Color.

Now based in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Kati enjoys sharing her innovative felting techniques and helping students discover the creative possibilities of wearable art.
