Kathleen Preininger Johns
Kathleen has taken a 2,000 year old folk art and elevated it to the fine art level. Her eggs are distinctive for their fine design, color harmonies, both traditional and original designs. Each is a hand-made Freeform creation.
For over 30 years Kathleen has traveled participating in juried art shows, demonstrating the Pysanky techniques. She has taught workshops and classes, sharing the passion for this unique batik process. Her work has been displayed in art galleries nationwide. The White House has two of her eggs in the permanent art collection.
